Every year, Michael undertakes a limited number of private portrait commissions. These portraits can be in a variety of media from small graphite drawings to large scale oil paintings with embedded glass mosaic.
Please find the style of portrait you are looking for then use the corresponding form to request a quotation and accurate completion schedule. A photograph of your proposed subject is useful but not essential.

Drawings - Graphite on paper
These drawings are slowly built up using a complex weave of tiny graphite marks. The final effect is not dissimilar to an etching but with the warmth of a pencil drawing.

Oil painting with mosaic on wood
This distinctive style of painting uses thousands of small drops of oil paint to build up the larger image.
The base for the painting is solid wood which is recessed to allow for Italian Glass Smalti tiles to be inlaid, forming an intricate mosaic background. 24 carat gold leaf may also be used.
